When are tutoring sessions?
Tutoring sessions can be arranged any day at any time (per YOUR availability) as long as the session ends an hour before the East Hanover library's closing time.
Library Hours:
Monday-Thursday 9 am - 9 pm
Friday 9 am - 5 pm
Saturday 10 am - 4 pm
Sundays 1-4pm
(The library is closed Sundays during July -August)
What kind of sessions does TAB offer?
The tutoring sessions are one-on-one. It is mandatory that the tutored child's parents stay in the library during the tutoring session.
Who are the tutors?
Selected tutors are high school volunteers from the local high school and community.
Does the tutoring offer a specific program* or does it just help with homework?
Primarily, tutors help students with their schoolwork. This includes test, quizzes, projects, and homework. For this reason, we ask that you bring your child's backpack and schoolwork for each session.
*Specific subjects are per request and can be selected through the sign-up forms. Tutors are assigned and instructed to accommodate children's various studies and needs.
How long are the tutoring sessions?
Sessions typically last 30-60 minutes.
Time constraints can be made upon parental request.
Do parents have to stay in the library during these sessions?
Yes, parents MUST stay in the library during sessions whether they be for tutoring or craft days.
